The Rugby Football Union for Women is seeking to appoint a coach to work with the England Elite Squad and to head up the England A squad. The coach will be working alongside the England Head coach and Assistant coach in working with the Elite squad of 44 in the build up to next years Womens’ Rugby World Cup. The post holder will also have responsibility for leading the England A squad in its competition phase and having specific responsibility for the training and preparation for these games. In an exciting and unusual season there will be additional coaching required on the new Super League as well as at the Elite Training Centres.
You will be expected to work in close collaboration with all the England coaches and the Team England support staff. This post also involves some responsibility for coaching and technical development throughout the women’s game and to this end you will be expected to liaise with the RFUW Development Team and the RFU coaching department.
You must have a sound knowledge and experience of coaching to a high level within rugby and have a good understanding of elite player and team development. You must also possess good organisational, communication and inter-personal skills as well as being IT literate.
