The RFU Referee Department and RFUW are looking into some of the issues that have been brought up concerning the relationship between Women’s Rugby Clubs and Referee’s Societies and have designed this questionnaire to gage opinion on the issues that are currently faced by Women’s Clubs with referee’s. The Referee Department is also conducting its own research on this subject with Referee Societies. There has been a true commitment on both sides to allow the results of this research to inform the policy for the way both parties interact.
Problems with referee’s is one of the most common issues we hear about at the RFUW but it very difficult to do anything about it without hard data collected from the game. Please do not ignore this email as even if your own experiences may have been very positive, we need a realistic and specific picture of the situation at Clubs of all levels.
