New Era For Harlequin Ladies

 
 

The start 2005-6 season will herald an exciting new era for Harlequin Ladies Football Club starting with the appointment of Nick Hyde as Head Coach, writes Mel Antao.

Nick brings a wealth of coaching experiences to the Ladies Team, including NEC Harlequins U19 Squad, NEC Harlequins and Leeds Tykes Elite Player Development Group (EPDG) and Yorkshire Development Squad. He is currently undertaking his RFU Level 3 - module 2 coaching award and is an RFU Coach Tutor for England, Scotland and Wales.

He has been the Community Development Officer for NEC Harlequins since September 2003, where he joined them from Silcoates School, Wakefield and the RFU (Student Liaison Officer for Yorkshire Universities). He has a BA (Hons) degree in Sports Development from Carnegie College, Leeds Metropolitan University.

The Harlequin Ladies will be joining the NEC Harlequins Squad and the Harlequin Amateur Squad at the new NEC Harlequin Training Ground at Roehampton Vale, as their training pitch at the Stoop has been sold. Pre-season training commences on Thursday 14 July from 7.30pm till 9pm. The Ladies will be training once a week during July, moving to two sessions a week from the 2 August 2005.
