Reading Rugby Club’s Mini and Midi section annual presentation barbeque

Reading Rugby Club’s Mini and Midi section was delighted to welcome current England Women’s International Rachel Vickers to its annual presentation barbeque recently. In addition to handing out certificates, medals and special trophy awards, kindly supplied by the section’s sponsor Distropol, Rachel spent time signing autographs, posing for photographs and chatting to the players who range from 5 to 12 years old.  Her presence was a real boost for all the players present.

Rachel Vickers is the current England Number 5 (Lock) with 10 caps to her name; she plays her club rugby with Richmond in West London and is hoping to secure her place in the RFUW England Team for the IRB Women’s World Cup in 2006.  At the IRB International Emirates 7’s in Twickenham, in June 2005, Rachel was ‘crowned’ Miss World Rugby -
