England Academy coach Gary Street has today (Tuesday) announced his England Women’s Students squad of 36 who will play four matches this season.

The England Students will take on Wales Development on February 3rd (home venue to be confirmed), Holland on February 26th at the National Stadium in Amsterdam, the Combined Services on March 19th at Broadstreet RFC and Sweden in April (date and venue to be confirmed).

Street said: “The England Women’s Students team is a crucial talent ID pool and an important part of the England pathway.

“This season we have some very exciting new talent coming through from our regional programmes and the standard of student rugby is getting stronger every year. The Students squad have a real rugby pedigree now which is a fantastic situation for the RFUW to be in.

“We are lucky to have a very interesting fixture list this season and playing the Holland and Sweden senior teams will certainly provide some tough games. They are both strong international sides who will prove tough opposition for our developing squad.”
