RFUW REGULATION of AGE BAND REGULATION

 

Senior Clubs Monitoring Procedures:

  1. Senior Clubs will submit Match Report Forms to the Competitions Director
  2. Match Report Forms are submitted for both Friendly and League Matches
  3. All Match Report Forms to require D.O.B for all players
  4. Competitions Director to monitor forms for Youth Players in Senior Game
  5. Clubs playing youth players in the senior game to be required to provide further information and confirmation of D.O.B of player listed


Youth Clubs Monitoring Procedures:

  1. All teams to provide list of names and D.O.B of team to opposition coach and referee and/or event organizers prior to friendly matches and/or tournaments using RFUW Friendly Match Report Form.

RFUW Disciplinary Procedure

  1. Those clubs playing underage players are in breach of the RFUW Rules and Regulations 2.3.4 and also have failed to act in accordance with RFU/W Policy for the Welfare and Protection of Children in Rugby which brings the club into breach of RFU Regulation 5.12.
  2. Clubs reported to be in breach of the Age band regulations will be required to submit a written report on the circumstances relating to the alleged breach. The RFUW Disciplinary will then consider the case and inform the club of the judgement. Appeals to be directed to the RFU Disciplinary Officer within 14 days.
  3. Sanctions to be decided by ‘RFUW Disciplinary Committee’ recommended to include:
    1. RFUW Managing Director
    2. RFUW Competitions Director
    3. RFUW Director of Rugby
    4. WRDM in appropriate Region
    5. RFUW Youth Lead Officer
  1. Sanctions may include a fine (Maximum £150 ) and loss of league points (Maximum 5 points per match) and/or disqualification of club and/or players from RFUW competitions. There will also be a requirement to provide an action plan to ensure no further breach of RFUW Age Band Regulations.
  2. Letter informing club of decision to go to
    1. Coach of team in question
    2. Club Secretary
    3. WRDM
    4. RFU Welfare and Discipline Departments
  1. Action plan to be considered and approved by ‘RFUW Disciplinary Committee’ and RFUW Welfare Lead Officer
  2. Statement on outcome of disciplinary to be posted on RFUW Website, and where possible this should be a joint RFUW/Club statement.
