The game kicked off and within five minutes a try was scored by SWS Jane Westcott. SWN rallied together with much enthusiasm and returned a good running try by Fly Half Kate Alder. Good defence work and tackling by Olivia Johnson and Emily Hatherall saw a well-deserved second try, which was converted successfully by Sarah Bebbington.

Going into the second half SWN were leading 12 points to 7, when Kate Alder scored her third try from a great forward attack taking them further into the lead. With great angles of running, Marika Lester kept the pressure on SWS, resulting in a great whole team effort for a fourth try scored by Katherine Taylor. SWS however fought on to score a try in the last five by Jane Westcott.

The game was played in Great Spirit, with good team performances by Rachel Fox, Erin Cass and Sarah Bebbington. Player of the match Susannah Hudson demonstrated great running and defence work. WELL DONE GIRLS
