London and South East Clubs Conference 2006

10th June at K2 Crawley, Pease Pottage Hill, Crawley RH11 9BQ

10:30              Introduction Sam Marshall WRDM L&SE

10:45              Workshops

                        a.         Club Development Planning

                        b.         Player Development (Club – England)

                        c.         Opportunities in Coaching and Refereeing

                        d.         RFUW Affiliation and Leagues

                        e.         Starting and maintaining a Youth Section

                        f.          Working with the RFU

                        g.         Fitness testing and personal training

12:00              Tag Rugby Competition

(we also have a personal fitness consultant who can provide fitness testing and advice)

12:45              Lunch

13:15              People attending the day can now chose one of the following sessions that best suits their needs. 

Coach Education Session

- Hosted by Graham Smith (England Forwards Coach) and additional guest coach to be confirmed (backs focus).

                                    - Covering lineout/scrums, starter moves and kicking play.

- This session will be interactive so coaches are asked to come prepared with some ideas to deliver in these sessions. 

- Players to be provided by the South East Region U17s squad.

                        Administrators Part 1 – Volunteer Recruitment and Retention

- Hosted by Alex Murphy from the RFU the session will focus on how clubs can attract volunteers to the Club and once there encourage them to take part in making the Club more effective at supporting the membership.

                        Administrators Part 2 – Working in Partnership

- Hosted by Sam Marshall RFUW WRDM and Jo Martin RFU RDO the session will focus on how clubs can work together with other clubs in their area to increase the number of players in the game at all ages. 

15:30              Close and Women’s World Cup Promotion

 

Booking

 

The cost of the day is £5 per person, to be submitted with this booking form.  The money will be returned with attendance on the day. 

Each Club is entitled automatically to 2 places but if other members of your club committee wish to attend submit their names with your booking forms and they will receive invitation according to place availability on a first come first served basis.
