This event will take place on Saturday 1st July 2006 at the Twickenham Stoop. The day will run from 12.30pm till 2pm, with discounted tickets being provided for all participants and parents to the Harlequins RL v Wigan rugby league match at 3pm. Players from the NEC Harlequins 1st XV and the England Women Squads will also be in attendance.
Harlequin Ladies Football Club was established in September 1995 and the Youth Team quickly followed in 1998, with members of the senior squad heading up the coaching and management of the youth side. With the support of local schools in the London Boroughs of Richmond and Hounslow, the team quickly developed.
Over the years, members of the Youth Squad have achieved representational success at County, Regional and England level. At least 4 ex-Harlequin Ladies players will feature in the IRB Women's Rugby World Cup 2006 in Edmonton Canada (29 August - 18 September 2006). All these girls started as novices to rugby, which is why Harlequin Ladies are inviting girls of all experience levels to come and take part in this exciting opportunity, to meet new people, make new friends and play this great sport.
