The Cramberleigh girls under 14s squad, an amalgamation of Camberley and Cranleigh RFC girls' teams, have had a season to remember and celebrate this year.
After a successful tournament in Dorking, where they defeated the home side in the final of the London & South East Girls 7s, Cramberleigh went on to contest the National 7s at Harpenden.
Worthy winners of the group stages, having not conceded a try, the girls narrowly defeated Ellingham & Ringwood in the semi-finals before encountering local favorites, the Welwyn Warriors, who had also played superb rugby to reach the final.
The Cramberleigh girls rose to the occasion and played some of their best rugby of the season to emphatically clinch the national title with a 25-0 win.
Other notable achievements include the best playing record in the inaugural Surrey under 14s league and runners-up in the Worthing 10s.
Seven girls have played county rugby for Surrey and six girls have gone on to represent the South region, who are the national Under 14s champions. Five girls have also been chosen for the England development programme
