The RFUW are seeking to appoint a part time Competitions Officer who will take responsibility for co-ordinating all RFUW domestic competitions. This will include supporting the national events programme and liaising with RFUW affiliated clubs and staff, Regions and CB’s as necessary. You will also work closely with the Women’s Rugby Development Managers (WRDM’s) in planning and developing opportunities for women and girls to play rugby safely and enjoyably.
The growth of women’s rugby has seen the development of a significant competitions programme which includes leagues from premiership to friendlies, as well as a comprehensive regional programme.
We are looking for an individual who has programme planning and implementation skills, and knowledge and experience of running national competitions and events. You will also possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills as well as patience and the ability to problem solve.
An understanding of the principles of sports development and knowledge of national governing bodies of sport are essential.
