In the Under 12s tag division Roade School proved too strong for all the other teams and comfortably won the competition.
Schools’ rugby team administrator Stewart McLennan said: “The standard of rugby played by the girls was of the highest standard. The deciding match between Northampton School for Boys and Sponne School in the Under 18 division was a brilliant showcase for the game. It is certainly important that this event is now established in the calendar to develop girls’ rugby across the county and to encourage more schools to participate.”
