SENIOR REGIONAL TRIALS 2006/2007

This year the Senior Trials will be held over the weekend of 2nd / 3rd December at venues all over the country (see below for details).  Where details are still to be confirmed, we will update by Friday 10th November if at all possible. For urgent enquiries regarding the TBC trials, please contact the appropriate Regional Programme Manager.

Please print, complete and return the trial form to the RFUW address listed. Remember to tick the appropriate trial that you will be attending.  Please don’t include trial money, this will be collected at the trial event this year.

REMEMBER YOU CANNOT TURN UP AND TRIAL ON THE DAY, THIS YEAR YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY

The Senior Regional Programme is going from strength to strength and is now the step between club and Super League / England 44. All players bar the England 44 can be involved so expect some great fixtures! For the past 2 years, West Midlands have been the winners so it’s about time another region tried to take their crown!

Please read the Senior Regional Programme 0607 brief so that you know exactly what you can expect from the programme and exactly what is expected of you if you are successful in being selected.

The whole programme will be based on a league and points system to determine the top 4 teams. We will then have a final and a 3rd / 4th play-off on 1st April at a venue to be confirmed.

Please be aware that physios and First Aid are there to deal with injuries that occur on the day and are not there to strap existing injuries. Please ensure that you arrive strapped for the trials.

If you cannot attend the trials, you need to write to your appropriate Programme Manager with a reason for you not being able to attend. This will determine whether you are invited to the first session. Any player simply not turning up on the day after sending in a form, will NOT be accepted into the programme. Any player not sending in a form (apart from the selected England 19s) will not be accepted into the programme.

Selected U19s players will automatically gain entry into their appropriate squad. However, these players will be expected to attend the appropriate trials to get to know their Programme staff and the other players. Automatic entry into the squad does NOT mean automatic selection into the match day squads. Any Super 4 trialists not selected into the 44, will be required to send in a form to the RFUW to trial for their region.
