Regulations

As a member Union of the International Rugby Board (IRB) the Rugby Football Union (RFU) has adopted the IRBs Anti-Doping Regulations, known as Regulation 21, as its own anti-doping regulations.

IRB Regulation 21 is compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code (the Code) and became effective on the 1st June 2004. This ensures all rugby players and support personnel at all levels of rugby and in all countries are subject to the same high standard rules and regulations.

RFU Additional Anti-Doping Provisions

The RFU has also established additional anti-doping provisions which RFU clubs, players and support personal must abide. These additional provisions can be located in the Regulations section of the RFU website under Discpline, or in the 2007/08 RFU Handbook.
