The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has issued revised Anti-Doping Provisions which in line with the new World Anti-Doping Agency Code take effect from the 1st January 2009.

As a member Union of the International Rugby Board (IRB), the RFU adopts the IRB's Anti-Doping Regulations, known as Regulation 21, which has been compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code since 2004.

The new RFU Anti-Doping Provisions cover the new rules regarding Athlete Whereabouts Requirements, Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) as well as Retirement and Return to Competition.

The RFU urge all clubs, players and support staff to carefully read the new provisions which can be either downloaded below or viewed on the Regulations section of the RFU website (www.rfu.com/regulations).
