Richmond Women were crowned champions of the RFUW’s National 10s Senior Cup on Sunday at Lichfield RFC.
The side defeated Worcester 22-0 in the final to lift the trophy. They had previously beaten Blaydon 19-0, Coalville 22-0 and Saracens en-route to the final.
Camp Hill RFC were also celebrating are they were crowned National Plate champions with a 12-0 win over the Vale of Lune in the final.
Having been cast along side Premiership 1 giants Saracens and Vale of Lune and Premiership 2 side, Plymouth Albion in the pool stages Camp Hill, as the sole Division 1 representatives, were up against it. However, this didn’t dent their determination and they went on to defeat Vale of Lune 27-5, Coalville 22-0 as they booked their place in the Plate final.
In the Under 17s National competition, which was run as a round-robin tournament, Worcester were undefeated beating Dorking, Letchworth, Welwyn, Paviours and Wimborne to take the title in style.
The award for Fair Play went to Letchworth RFC.
