The pre season training on Wednesday evenings during the summer has paid off for the U18 girls Rugby team at Stourbridge Rugby Club.

The first match of the season saw them pitch their skills away to Bridgnorth WRFC, where they won 51-15. The new girls in the team settled in well in what turned out to be a closer match than the final score suggests. Player of the match Barbara Palmieri ran in 5 tries, the other players to score a ‘try’ were Katie Knott (full back), Ellie Harris (wing), Becky Wale (second row) and Vicky Merrick (fly half) who also kicked three conversions.
