Disciplinary advisory - Lydney RFC

December 12th, 2007

A Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel met tonight (Wednesday) at the Newbury North Hilton to hear two cases against a Lydney coach and player.

Paul Williams, Lydney coach, was charged with conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Union and the Game contrary to RFU Rule 5.12 in a game against Ealing on November 24th. Williams pleaded guilty to the offence and the panel reprimanded Williams as to his future conduct.

James Matthews was called to attend the hearing after being cited by Ealing RFC in the same game for stamping contrary to Law 10 (4)(b). The case against him was dismissed.
