Club Development Toolkit Fund

TOOLKIT FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR CLUBS

The RFUW is pleased to announce that £7,500 of Club Development Toolkit Funding is available to clubs. Clubs are asked to apply directly through a bidding process to receive funding. This is a one-off opportunity, so grab it while you can!

The following funding pots are available for clubs to apply for:

  • 8 x pots of £500
  • 14 x pots of £250

The club applying for the Club Development Toolkit Funding will meet the following criteria:

  • The club must be affiliated to the RFUW
  • The club must have in place, or is working towards, a Club Development Plan that includes an Action Plan for the Women and/or Girls Section (which will be signed off by the RDO/WRDM)
  • The club must be attending a Women & Girls Forum in their area

Applications should comprise of a project, event or resources which aims to recruit and/or retain players and/or volunteers and therefore improve the sustainability of the club. Examples may include:

  • Develop coaches and volunteers (welfare training, First Aid courses etc.)
  • Purchase new equipment to further develop and enhance current training opportunities
  • Contribute to coaching expenses for delivery hours in a local school / FE and HE institutions to create and sustain club/school links
  • Marketing and advertising the club in the local community.

Application Procedure 
           
A Club that is interested in applying for Club Development Toolkit Funding will be in consultation with their local WRDM/RDO and other key partners and have in place a Whole Club Development Plan.        

The project should be looking to increase the number of players at the club, or improving the quality of service delivery thus improving the sustainability of the Women's and/or Girls Section and therefore benefiting the club as a whole     
Applicants should complete the Application Form online (Application deadline has passed) 
  

Grant Procedure          
           
Applications for funding will be considered by the Club Development Toolkit Fund Review Group. Bids will also be considered as part of a joint funding bid, for example £500 funding from Local Network Fund, £500 from RFUW Club Development Toolkit Fund. To assist with the application, and where there is no Club Development Plan currently in place, additional information may be sought by the assessors through local WRDMs, RDOs and CBs.             

The designated Project Lead will be notified of the assessors' decision. Successful applicants will receive an Award Letter which will confirm the amount of funding and stipulate the conditions of the Funding. The Project Lead must accept these Terms and Conditions. Failure to comply with the conditions of the Award will result in the withdrawal of funding.
