Saracens defend Women’s Premiership crown

March 20th, 2008

Saracens Women have been crowned champions of the English Premiership.

Their defence of the title means they have won the English Premiership for the third time on the bounce.

The North London side claimed the title in emphatic style by not losing a single game all season. They also scored an impressive 457 points, 215 points more than their nearest rivals, second place Wasps.

The Saracens team include England internationals Claire Allan, Maggie Alphonsi, Charlotte Barras, Rachel Burford, Amy Garnett and Vicky Massarella who were all part of the England team that were crowned RBS 6 Nations Grand Slam champions this month.
