Club and Coach Officer Vacancies

 

 

Salary: £20 - £24,000 + car (full time only) and benefits I Contract Period: 2 years I  

Based: 1 x (full time) and 1 x (part time / 21 hours) both based in South West 

The Rugby Football Union for Women Ltd (RFUW) is looking to appoint one full time and one part time Club and Coach Officer (CCO) based in the South West. They will deliver the RFUW coaching and playing philosophy to players and coaches to improve the quality of the game and increase participation in women and girls rugby.

Reporting to the RFUW Player Development Manager, the appointed CCO’s will have responsibility for delivery of player development targets that will include planning, overseeing and delivering, Schools of Rugby for U15’s, Talent Development Group (TDG) for U18’s along with Senior Elite Training Centre (ETC) and High Performance Academies (HPA).

The CCO’s will also implement the RFUW talent identification and development systems by working with county and regional coaches and squads.

CCO’s will, working in partnership and conjunction with the RFU Coach Development Officer, achieve coach development outcomes by delivering coach development programmes to include coach education, mentoring and support the delivery of RFU qualification courses.

They will support club development outcomes by delivering a best practice programme of club development based on quality coaching and playing structures.

Candidates should have knowledge and experience of coaching Rugby Union, minimum Level 2 Coaching Certificate with a commitment to work towards Level 3 certificate is essential.  Proven experience of developing coaches and/or players is desirable.

Excellent communication, organisational and project planning skills, as well as being a self starter able to work on own initiative, are required.
