2008 High Performance Academies (HPA’s)

Final Information for Senior and Junior players – (July)

The final arrangements for the HPA’s (over the weekend of 12th/13th July 2008) are as follows:

All details, times, directions and maps are listed below. Please read carefully to ensure you know the correct details.

Please note: If you have not paid or do not pay on the day, you will not be able to take part in the HPA’s.  Also if you are under 18 years old and have not returned a signed consent form you will also not be able to take part in the HPAs.

Brunel University, Uxbridge

Seniors: Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July

Saturday 12th July

All players should arrive at the registration point on Level 1, Brunel University’s Sports Pavilion to register between 10:00 & 10:30am.  Following a brief introduction to the HPA’s, the first coaching session will begin at 11:00am

  • All senior players will be required to register with the HPA manager
  • Changing rooms / showers will be available
  • Car parking is available to senior players
  • The day will finish at around 4:00pm

Sunday 13th July

  • Please arrive at the registration point, Level 1, Brunel University’s Sports Pavilion, between 10:00 & 10:30am. The first coaching session for the day will begin at 11:00am.
  • The day will finish at around 4:00pm

Please bring with you (both days):

  • All training kit (the pitches will be firm so moulded boots or trainers would be appropriate) including gum shields
  • Water Bottles
  • Sun Cream
  • Lunch for Saturday 12th July. Lunch will be provided on Sunday 13th July.

Players staying overnight will have breakfast and dinner provided in the University Refectory on campus.

U18’s: Sunday 13th July

All players should arrive at the registration point at the Brunel University grass sports pitches off Peel Way (NOT on the main campus or at the sports pavilion) to register between 10:00 & 10:30am.  Following a brief introduction to the HPA’s, the first coaching session will begin at 11:00am.

  • All players will be required to register with the HPA manager
  • Please come prepared in all training kit as there are no changing facilities. If the weather is poor players will be able to use the changing facilities at the sports pavilion, located on the main campus map
  • There is no parking for junior players, only drop off spaces at the sports pitches
  • The day will finish at around 4:00pm

Please bring with you:

  • All training kit (the pitches will be firm so moulded boots or trainers would be appropriate) including gum shields
  • Water Bottles
  • Sun Cream
  • Lunch

Those players selected from the U18 HPAs will be invited to attend an U18 Talent Development Group camp taking place from Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd July 2008.  Players will be notified of selection by Tuesday 15th July.  Please note that fitness testing will be taking place at this camp. 

U15’s: Saturday 12th July

Wellington School, Taunton
