England Women Under 20s Coach Giselle Mather has made a handful of changes ahead of England’s second Nations Cup game in Toronto on Monday, kick-off 1030pm BST.
Only skipper Laura Keates from Worcester RFC, Bath’s Nicola Hoole, Worcester’s Samantha Bree and Darlington Mowden Park’s Rose Fong remain in the starting line-up.
England Under 20s thumped Canada 31-5 on Friday in the tournament’s curtain raiser and tomorrow they face Canada A before taking on Home Nation rivals Wales on Wednesday. The Nations Cup Final takes place in Saturday.
England’s Head Coach Mather said: “We have selected another competitive side for this game. This match will give the players who didn’t start in the first game an opportunity to put their hands up for selection for our next tournament game against Wales. “Like the first game we expect it to be a very tough encounter. The whole Canadian squad is very strong and competitive. They have stepped up a level and it’s important we rise to the challenge. This Canadian side beat Wales in their first game so we are not underestimating their potential.”
