Esher RFC is set to host international rugby this month when they stage the Inaugural Women’s Nations Cup.
The Surrey Club will see world class players in action from host nation England, who are the reigning RBS 6 Nations and European Champions, Canada and the USA.
The Nations Cup kicks-off on August 22nd against the USA and England will then take on Canada on August 24th. England will also play the two teams in another two tests on August 19th (USA) and August 29th (Canada) outside of the Nations Cup tournament.
Esher Chairman, John Inverdale, said: “We are delighted and proud to be hosting the forthcoming internationals for England and the club wishes the team every success in their matches against the USA and Canada.”
Mike Schmid, Esher’s Director of Rugby and former Canadian international, added: “It is indeed a great honor that Esher Rugby has been chosen to host this high quality women's event.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the visiting teams from the USA and Canada, as well as the home English side. I am sure the rugby will be exciting and I hope that all aspiring International rugby players will come out and enjoy the matches."
Entry costs just £4 for adults, £1 for children and adult members get a £1 discount.
