Roger Wilson and Luke Abraham banned

Northampton Saints No.8 Roger Wilson was tonight banned for five weeks for a dangerous tackle on Harlequins flanker Will Skinner.

Wilson pleaded guilty after being cited for the offence during the match at Franklin's Gardens on December 20 and is suspended until February 9. He can play again on February 10.

The RFU Disciplinary Panel at the London Bloomsbury Holiday Inn comprised Jeremy Summers (Chair), Julian Morris and John Doubleday.

The same panel in London considered the citing of Old Whitgiftians player Tom Dunsmore by Surrey RFU after the match Old Whitgiftians RFC v Surrey RFU on November 23, 2008.

The citing was not upheld and the player is free to play immediately.

Sale Sharks flanker Luke Abraham was banned for two weeks for striking Bath centre Alex Crockett with his head.

Abraham pleaded guilty after being cited for the offence during the match at the Recreation Ground on December 20 and is suspended from December 24, 2008 - when the citing was issued - to January 7, 2009. He can play again on January 8.

The RFU Disciplinary Panel at the Leeds Brighouse Holiday Inn comprised Antony Davies (Chair), Peter Rhodes and David MacInnes.

The same panel judged that Bradford & Bingley No 8 Aaron Enoka is free to continue playing after an RFU Disciplinary Panel tonight deemed his sending off sufficient for receiving two yellow cards.

Enoka pleaded guilty to striking an opponent and making a dangerous tackle during the match against Halifax on December 20.
