England were beaten 27-0 by New Zealand in the final of the Cable & Wireless Women’s Rugby Sevens at Hong Kong today.
Making their first appearance at the tournament, England finished second in their group after wins against Fiji (27-0) and the USA (5-0) and a 26-12 defeat by the Kiwis.
They went on to beat the Arabian Gulf 27-0 and Kazakhstan 19-5 in the knock-out stages to reach their first major final. |
