National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO): Primary functions include working with the voluntary sector in England by acting as a resource and representing the views of the sector to government and policy-makers. www.ncvo-vol.org.uk
National Mentoring Network (NMN): Promotes the development of mentoring, offers advice and support and provides a forum for the exchange of information and good practice the network also rolls out the Approved Provider Scheme. Not a recruitment body but has some involvement with the mentor points, which do have a recruitment function. www.nmn.org.uk
Student Volunteering UK: Primary work is to support student volunteers. They are producing guidelines on how to recruit and work with students, which should be published September 2003. www.studentvol.org.uk |
