Under 18 Development Days Update
The RFUW apologises for the delay in appropriate information being handed on to you in regard of the Under 18 development days.
The syllabus has been complied in conjunction with the high performance coaches and will focus on core skill development. The program will be delivered by coaching staff appointed by the RFUW and venues will be announced in the coming week.
For those players involved in Super 4’s or England under 19 trials - The trials take priority over the development days. However players who do not make the squads will be expected to return to the development days.
We envisage the under 18 development days to be similar to the PDA’s for seniors- focusing on the development of core skills and giving the players a chance to learn with their peers.
Shelly Rae, England Fly half commented “All England players attend PDA’s and they are lots of fun as we get to meet new people, train with players of different standards and most of all practice our core skills. I think these development days will be very beneficial for young players and should be supported”.
