Worcester U16 beat Widnes in the RFUW U16's cup semi-final.

In the first Under 16s game ever to be played in Worcester RFC’s Sixways Stadium RFUW National Under 16s Cup Holders Worcester played their semi-final against Widnes. Unfazed by the setting which the previous day had seen Worcester Warriors secure promotion to the Premiership, Natalie Clifford opened the scoring for Worcester but halfway through the second half their opponents in last year’s final were still very much in the game at only 8-5 down. A torrential downpour only served to prompt Worcester to tighten up their game and tries from Helen Price, Becky Blakeway and Jenna Smith as well as an earlier penalty from Jess Morgan enabled them to run out 23-10 winners.

Worcester now face the winners of the other semi-final between Fullerians and Petersfield at Broadstreet RFC on 25th April.
