Women & Girls Rugby Union Development Officer
LONDON
Salary c.£18,000 + benefits + expenses
In conjunction with the London Active Partnership, we are looking to appoint a full time Officer to work within the London boroughs, starting in June 2004, initially for a fixed term of 2 years.
You will focus on the coaching of young girls. This will include coaching girls to play both Tag and contact rugby; to develop links to regional representative rugby- introduce leadership skills to these young people and to provide ongoing support and sustainability by training teachers and others to continue and develop the work started in these age groups. The main delivery will be in schools, colleges, clubs and other community settings.
The successful applicant will also be required to work in partnership with other relevant agencies to ensure the delivery of the programme.
Basic working hours will 37 per week, including evenings and weekends subject to coaching programmes.
Applicants must have experience of coaching rugby to young people, have a valid driving licence and their own transport, and will preferably possess a RFU coaching qualification.
