Caroline Wolfendale (NW Regional Administrator and Lancs Women and Girls RDO) in conjunction with the RFU, RFUW and Sale Sharks is organising:
an exciting and innovative rugby development evening taking place on Wednesday 18th August 2004 at Heywood Road - Sale RUFC's old ground.
This conference will feature 3 professionals, all experts in their field with specialism working with a premiership club, and will consist of the following workshops:
Nutrition for rugby: What to eat leading up to a game: week before/night before/hours before a game. Led by Scott Pearson (Sale Sharks Assistant Fitness Coach)
Sports injury: how to prevent and treat rugby injuries. Led by Phil Burt (Sale Sharks Physio)
Position specific training: how to be the best you can be - strength conditioning, cardiovascular training.
Led by Phil Hewitt (NW Fitness Consultant)
A light buffet will be available from 6:00 - 6:40pm, with the first session beginning at 6:45pm.
The cost of the evening will be £10 per person, which will include all 3 workshops and refreshments. It is primarily on offer to women's clubs within the North West, but is open to all, so please advertise widely.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to increase your knowledge and expertise, whether as a coach, manager, volunteer or player, and learn from some of the best in their field.
