The RFUW is seeking to appoint Liaison Officers to act as a support person to a visiting squad and assist them in ensuring that all plans for training and games are carried out. To act as a communication link between the opposition and RFUW / England staff in ensuring that any problems or issues are dealt with to the satisfaction of all parties
This is an excellent opportunity for a University student studying event management or individual interested in working in events to gain work experience and become involved with a national organisation and England Women’s Rugby at an exciting and important time. It is also an opportunity to make a valuable contribution to sport at an operational level.
Skills & Experience Required
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent planning and organizational skills
· Good interpersonal skills
· Energetic and enthusiastic personality able to cope with unexpected and stressful situations
· Sense of humour
· Experience of having worked with a women’s team
· Team Player
· IT literate and access to e-mail
· Understanding of rugby union
Advantageous :
· Event organisation experience
· Fluent French or Spanish
· Valid driving license and / or use of car
· Based in London area where most International Home matches take place
Remuneration
Posts do not currently attract remuneration, however travel and other pre-authorised expenses will be paid.
Time Commitment
This is dependant upon the time the individual has available and dependant upon the visiting team needs, at the very least the appointed individuals would need to be available to attend some International home matches in the London area on the actual match day.
