The England Students began their season with a hard fought 19-10 victory over the British Army at Aldershot on 4^th February.

Heather Fisher opened the scoring in the 11^th minute, converted by fly half and captain, Nancy Stone.

After a period of sustained pressure, a swift handling move created space for full back Leanne Plunkett to cross the line.

Just before half time, Jo McGilchrist was on hand to score a try under the posts, after good work support work by Adrienne McAlpine, the Try was converted by Stone.

The 2^nd half proved less rewarding for the Students as the Army fought back with 2 unconverted tries to make the final score 10-19.

England Students play there first international of the season on Sunday 13^th February against Scotland Development at Huddersfield RUFC. Kick Off 14:30.
