Ben has been involved in the England Sevens squad for four years. In Wellington this season he overtook Waisale Serevi’s IRB Sevens World Points Record of 1033 points to become the leading points scorer in the IRB Sevens.
Ben left his Zurich Premiership club Worcester Warriors last Autumn, emigrating to Australia for family reasons. He is now playing for Sunnybank – a club on the Gold Coast.
Ben’s calm self-assuredness and creative ability, mixed with blistering pace, makes him a natural sevens player and an integral part of the squad taking all the kicks and restarts.
Cornish born Ben has worked his way through the England 16 Group, 18 Group, U19, Students and England A team’s during his career and has played his club rugby for Bournemouth, Gloucester and Bath Development U19 side. He has played Zurich Premiership rugby for NEC Harlequins and Newcastle Falcons before transferring to premiership new boys Worcester Warriors last summer.
He played in an invitation side in this season’s Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens, before being recalled to the England Sevens squad for South Africa.
