Club Volunteer Co-ordinator Workshops 2005

24 January 2005
Following the success of the Club Volunteer Co-ordinator (CVC) workshops last year, the RFU, in partnership with Sport England, is running further workshops during 2005.  The role of a CVC is to manage current club volunteers, whilst introducing initiatives to attract new ones.

This interactive workshop is designed to educate clubs about the role of a volunteer co-ordinator, their responsibilities and demonstrate the benefits this position can bring to a club’s volunteer workforce.

The following three workshops have now been confirmed:

Date County Location Time
11th February 2005 East Midlands Northampton Saints RFC 17.30
24th February 2005 Cumbria Aspatria RFC 18.30
2nd March 2005 Durham Durham City RFC 19.00

If you would like to attend one of these events (completely free of charge) please contact one of the following event organisers to reserve your place. Please note that the maximum capacity for each workshop is 30, therefore reservations will be on a first come first serve basis.

  • East Midlands – Carly Bowen 020 8831 6525
  • Cumbria – Geoff Jackson 01228 591363
  • Durham – Matt Bryan 0191 477 6625

The England Rugby Supporters Club (ERSC) are also offering one 20% discount voucher on senior membership to all those individuals who attend a CVC workshop and then register on the RFU club pages as a Volunteer Co-ordinator for their respective club. Information on this offer can be obtained from Carly Bowen on 020 8831 6525.
