At tonight's RFU Disciplinary hearing at the Holiday Inn at Coventry, Lewis Moody (Leicester Tigers) was suspended for six weeks. The suspension was backdated to 7th September, the date when he was suspended by his club. Moody is free to play again on 19th October.
The panel of Mike Rafter and Christopher Quinlan was chaired by His Honour Jeff Blackett.
The player pleaded guilty to the charge of striking an opponent in the Guinness A League match between Leeds and Leicester at Chandos Park on 5th September.
