Jason Robinson to retire

2 April 2007
Issued on behalf of Sale Sharks
Jason Robinson has today announced that he will retire from playing club rugby at the end of the current season.

He will, if selected play for England during the summer and in the World Cup in France before calling it a day completely. He will play his last game for Sale Sharks at home to Bath a week on Friday the 13th April.

Jason said, " I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sale Sharks but the time has come to move on to other things. I want my last game for Sale Sharks to be a home game (v Bath) and want to be able to say a big thank you to the supporters of this great club."

The Sale Sharks vs Leicester Tigers fixture on Good Friday and the one versus Bath Rugby on 13th April will be Jason's 532nd and 533rd games of rugby in both codes, tickets for both games are available online at www.salesharks.com or by phoning 08712-220120.
