Kitchener, 18, is a pupil at Adams Grammar School in Newport, Shropshire, who appeared for England at Under 18 level last season.
Added to the bench are uncapped Northampton lock James Cannon – the son of Saints legend Vince Cannon – and wing Dan Norton, who was on duty with Gloucester in the Guinness Premiership last weekend.
England, coached by Nigel Redman and Mark Mapletoft, are playing for their Six Nations Grand Slam after victories against Wales (28-15), Italy (22-13), France (24-6) and Scotland (41-15).
But to do so they have to defeat Eric Elwood’s Ireland side, whose predecessors were the unbeaten winners of last year’s tournament.
