Updated May 29, 2008

Ben Gollings (Sunnybank)
Position: Fly Half
DOB: 13.05.80
Height: 1.73m
Weight: 83kgs

Ben is the leading points scorer in the IRB Sevens, having overtaken Fijian legend Waisale Serevi’s tally of 1310 in Wellington in February 2005. He has already added to his 1760 tally this season. He is also the third leading try scorer with 156.

Ben has been involved with the England Sevens team since 1999 and has played in two Commonwealth Games, the Rugby World Cup Sevens and four consecutive Hong Kong Sevens tournaments.  Ben’s try and successful conversion helped England win their record fourth consecutive victory in Hong Kong in 2006.

Ben emigrated to Australia’s Gold Coast in the autumn of 2004 for family reasons and played for Sunnybank before crossing the Tasmin sea to play for Tasman in New Zealand. He then moved on to play for Toyota Shokki in Japan for a season and is now back at Sunnybank.

Before making the move down under, Ben played his club rugby for NEC Harlequins, Newcastle Falcons and Worcester Warriors.
