Worcester Warriors scrum-half Matt Powell has received a late call-up to play for the Barbarians in their annual match against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Friday March 17 (7.45pm).
Powell has been brought into the invitation club's starting XV as a replacement for former New Zealand international Justin Marshall who sustained an injury training with Leeds Tykes earlier in the week.
Powell is one of only three uncapped players in the Barbarians' starting line-up - the others are London Wasps centre Ayoola Erinle and Edinburgh Gunners' back-row Matt Mustchin.
There are 15 new Barbarians' in the famous invitation club's 23-strong squad including Powell's Worcester club-mate Mike MacDonald, the United States Eagles prop, and Australia wing Joe Roff.
Leicester will be captained by England World Cup-winning lock Ben Kay and their squad includes director of rugby Pat Howard, the former Wallabies centre, as a replacement.
