The Midlands Under-16 selectors have named Daniel Robson, the son of former England tourist Simon Robson, in their side for their opening match in this season's Divisional Festival against London & SE at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry on Friday January 11 (1.15pm).
Robson's father toured Australia as reserve scrum-half with England in 1988 and also played for England A as well as club rugby for Moseley, Liverpool St Helens and Stoke. Simon Robson is now master in charge of rugby at Newcastle-under-Lyme School where Daniel, a fly-half, is a pupil.
