Fans meet rugby legends

Hundreds of fans descended on Twickenham Stadium this afternoon to watch their heroes train.

Help for Heroes captains Lawrence Dallaglio and Scott Gibbs invited their fans to come down to Twickenham to meet them and support Help for Heroes and they did. Fans were treated to the sights of Martin Johnson, Jason Robinson, Kenny Logan and Will Greenwood as they took to the pitch before meeting fans pitchside.

After the teams had finished their training New Zealand legend Jonah Lomu joined Johnson and Dallaglio at a Rugby Store signing session where fans got to meet their idols.

International XV captain Gibbs said, “It’s great to see so many fans here, I hope to see all of them tomorrow at the match. The support from the fans has been great and I would encourage anyone who hasn’t already bought a ticket to do so and support a great cause.”

The Help for Heroes XV, managed by former England captain Phil de Glanville, will face an International XV managed by Ieuan Evans on Saturday 20 September at 2.30pm.

The match aims to raise £1million for Help for Heroes charity and the care and rehabilitation of injured British service personnel who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Tickets are available on the day from the South Stand ticket office from 11am please arrive early. Tickets are priced from £20 for adults and £10 for juniors, with a family ticket costing £50.
