Having taken charge of his first Test match in 1990, Tony Spreadbury’s career as one of the world’s most respected whistlers spanned 17 years and three World Cups.  Popular with players the world over for his good humour and his continuous banter, the now retired ‘Spreaders’ is part of the RFU’s elite referee development team.
