Members of the England squad and management attended the RWC hearing this evening in Sydney.
After a contested hearing before RWC Judicial Officer, Brian McLoughlin an allegation of misconduct concerning England Fitness Coach, Dave Reddin towards a match official was dismissed.
The England squad is delighted that this verdict has been reached. Dave Reddin is and will continue to be a valuable and well respected member of the squad.
Regarding the admitted fielding of a substitute player in contravention of the match officials directive, towards the end of the England v Samoa fixture, the Judicial Officer ordered that Dave Reddin serve a two match touchline ban and the RFU were fined ten thousand pounds sterling.
The England squad and management accept the judgement and now look forward to the fixture against Uruguay on Sunday. |
