Borthwick handed two week ban

Steve Borthwick of Bath Rugby was tonight found guilty of striking Lawrence Dallaglio on the head with his knee in a ruck during Bath's Zurich Premiership match against London Wasps on Saturday 7th February 2004.

Borthwick has been suspended for two weeks.  The ban will run from 10th February until 23rd February.  He has been ordered to pay £150 in costs.

Borthwick has 24 hours in which to appeal against the decision.

The judgement was reached by an RFU panel of Richard Moon (Cambridge University) Chairman, Paul Murphy (Oxfordshire) and Group Captain Nigel Gillingham OBE.
