Sebastien Chabal of Sale Sharks has been suspended for two weeks following a Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing at the Bristol Filton Holiday Inn tonight (Tuesday).
Chabal was found guilty of stamping on an opponent during a Zurich Premiership match against Bath on November 13, 2004. The charge was initiated by the nominated Match Citing Officer.
Chabal will be free to play again on December 8.
The disciplinary hearing was chaired by Rick Charles with Mike Curling and Chris Quinlan sitting on the panel.
