Worcester today officially confirmed Anthony Eddy as their new Head Coach. The 39 year old Australian will join Director of Rugby John Brain's coaching staff next week on a two year contract.
Eddy was the Coaching Director of the ARU's High Performance Unit from 2000 until 2002 and then that year coached the Australian under 21 team to the World Cup Final. From there he spent two years as Coaching Co-ordinator at the ACT Brumbies, winning the Super 12 title with them in 2004, before moving on last season to the Queensland Reds.
Worcester's Director of Rugby John Brain says: "Anthony was always my number one choice to fill this role. He has a good reputation as a progressive and forward thinking coach as well as a wealth of experience in Super 12 rugby. I'm confident that he has both the personality and coaching credentials to help develop this team to its potential."
