Philippe Saint Andre said, " I was very disappointed to lose at Gloucester last week, deep into injury time. We have spent time this week working on all aspects of our game in readiness for this important clash against London Irish. Irish too lost in the dying seconds last week and will be tough opponents. We are also aware that they have not yet lost at Edgeley Park. The next six games may well shape our season as we play games in all three competitions during this time."

The game is NOT a sell out and tickets can be purchased by phoning 08712-220120 or can be booked online at www.salesharks.com.

Edgeley Park will be open from 5-30pm on Friday to enable supporters to use the Bar Facilities. The Guinness Outside Bar will again be parked in the Car Park at the Cheadle End of the ground.

Issued on behalf of London Irish

A "quietly confident" London Irish will travel to Edgeley Park, Stockport for tomorrow night's GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP match with Sale Sharks, kick-off 8.00pm.

"We know that we will face a talented team," says Brian Smith, Director of Rugby at London Irish, "we are confident in defence and continue to be committed to playing positive rugby.  We have reviewed our second half performance against Worcester and know that we can do better tactically against Sale.

"We have made a couple of changes to the team to freshen things up for tomorrow night's game.  With only a five day turnaround we are using the resources in the squad.  The Guinness A League team has been performing well over the past fortnight so there is plenty of competition for places.  Robbie Russell is unavailable because of the knee injury he picked up in the first half on Sunday," added Smith.

There are three changes to the starting line-up of the team that played Worcester. Adrian Flavin replaces the injured Russell at hooker.  Paul Hodgson takes over from Ben Willis at scrum half and Richard Skuse starts at tight head prop in place of Rob Hardwick.  Willis and Hardwick are among the replacements.
