Issued on behalf of Saracens
Saracens travel to Worcester Warriors in the GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP on Saturday and have named the squad who will be making the trip to Sixways.
Following last weekend's victory over Leeds Tykes at Vicarage Road, the coaching staff have made two changes to the starting line-up for Saturday's game.
Shane Byrne is named at hooker to get his first start for Saracens while Paul Bailey comes in on the wing. On the bench, 18-year-old Adam Powell is included. The England U19 centre has been promoted to the first team squad on the back of some impressive performances.
Head Coach Mike Ford said: "Adam impressed us in a trial game in pre-season and has been training with the first team squad for the last few weeks. He did very well in the A-Team game against Quins on Monday night and he deserves his place.
"It's also a message to the rest of the squad and the other Academy players that if they perform well, they can get in the team. Competition for places is the ethos we want to create across the club and there are no guarantees in terms of selection. Adam has earned his place and we have high hopes for him.
"We face a very tough game on Saturday. Worcester have had a good start and will be going into the match in confident mood. They have a strong pack of forwards and we know it will be a hard afternoon."
In other team news, Tevita Vaikona, Ben Johnston and Andy Farrell are all ruled out through injury.
