A press conference will be held on Thursday at which Steph will announce details of the re-structured coaching setup including the new rolls being undertaken by Mike Schmid and Mike Umaga.

Steph said: "It's exciting times at Rotherham and i'm looking forward to the challenge. We've made big improvements over the past few weeks and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season."

In the short term, Steph is focused on getting a result against Narbonne in  the Parker Pen European Challenge Cup on Friday at Millmoor, KO 7:45pm.

The South African was in charge of Connacht when they faced the French club in European competition: "At Connacht, we played them two years in a row. There a big side, a typical French side and at Connacht I had two wins and two losses against them."
