Titans and Wasps Team news

London Wasps Director of Rugby, Warren Gatland, has named his side for this weekend's Zurich Premiership clash against Rotherham. Wasps go into the game depleted of its England stars as well as a regular kicker.

Lawrence Dallaglio, Josh Lewsey, Joe Worsley and Simon Shaw are all involved in Six Nations action and are, therefore, unavailable. Injuries to Alex King (Thigh) and Mark Van Gisbergen (Shoulder) will mean Fraser Waters takes charge of kicking duties. The centre has taken one conversion this season which he slotted against the Bristol Shoguns.

Gatland said, "Going into a game without a regular kicker is never a good thing but it's something we are going to have to cope with. Fraser has shown in training that he can kick, so I have complete faith and confidence that he can do the job".

King's injury is a recurrence of the one he picked up against Perpignan. His thigh is still heavily bruised and was ruled out by the Wasps medical staff earlier today. Van Gisbergen's shoulder injury occurred during the Bath game and the two kickers should only miss this game.

Craig Dowd will also sit out the game. The former All Black prop injured his back during last weekend's game at the Rec. Dowd joins Phil Greening (Foot), Richard Birkett (Kidney), Kenny Logan (Back), Stuart Abbott (Ankle) and Alistair McKenzie (Shoulder) on the injury list.

The forwards see Tim Payne starting at loosehead with Trevor Leota and Will Green alongside him. George Skivington and Martin Purdy start at lock with Paul Volley, Jonny O'Connor and Mark Lock forming the backrow.

Rob Howley captains the side and will start in the No.9 shirt with fellow scrumhalf, Peter Richards, alongside him at No.10. Ayoola Erinle and Fraser Waters are the centres with Tom Voyce, John Rudd and Shane Roiser completing the backs.

The bench will also see a new face in Henry Nwume. The 120kg Oxford University Science and Medical student, is at the club on trial and makes his first appearance in first XV colours.

Wasps have won both of the previous encounters against the Yorkshiremen when Rotherham were last in the Premiership in season 2000/01 - 30-15 at Clifton Lane, and 58-3 at Loftus Road.

The team is ...

15 Tom Voyce
14 Shane Roiser
13 Fraser Waters
12 Ayoola Erinle
11 John Rudd
10 Peter Richards
9 Rob Howley (Capt.)

1 Tim Payne

16 Ben Gotting
17 Henry Nwume
18 John Hart
19 Ian Clarke
20 Harvey Biljon
21 Mark Denney
22 Michael Roberts

Charlie Harrison will start at scrum-half for Rotherham as Guy Easterby is away on international duty and Jacob Rauluni continues to battle an ankle injury.

Mike Umaga makes a welcome return to the starting line-up whilst Nick Lloyd, who has had more starts than any other player this season, is drops to the bench.

Rotherham starting line-up against London Wasps on Saturday:
